Concert Information

The Â鶹ԼÅÄ Singers join forces with the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) to present a concert of choral music inspired by refugees. Historically, the plight of refugees has provided artistic inspiration for composers and librettists, and this remains the case in the 21st century. Alongside works submitted by composers for this project are BASCA commissions from refugees recent and past Basel Saleh and Michael Graubert, as well as works by two prominent British female composers - The Girl from Aleppo by Cecilia McDowell and the world premiere of Weighing the Earth by Joanna Marsh.
