Concert Information

Today, the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic welcomes final year students from the RNCM’s two-year Postgraduate Conducting programme. This is an unrivalled opportunity for them to conduct a professional broadcast orchestra as part of their final assessment.

Across two concerts on 26 April, we’ll hear from four of the most exciting young musicians on the cusp of their international career, as they showcase their talent. (please apply for tickets to the first concert separately).

In this concert, starting at 4.15pm, we hear from Phil Trudgeon and Miguel Sepúlveda, conductors. Phil, who was Assistant Director of Music Training at the Royal Marines School of Music before entering the RNCM’s Masters Conducting programme, conducts Michael Daugherty’s Rio Grande. Miguel conducts Stravinsky’s The Fairy's Kiss: Divertimento, just a sample of his wide ranging repertoire gained since completing his piano studies in Lisbon.
