The 麻豆约拍 Philharmonic begin today鈥檚 Afternoon Concert with a live broadcast from MediaCityUK, before passing the airwaves to the 麻豆约拍 Concert Orchestra.
Today, the 麻豆约拍 Philharmonic bring us Faure's popular Pavane, a UK premiere (Chartres) from Justina Repeckaite and Mozart's sunny Violin Concerto No. 5 with Jennifer Pike as soloist.
The 麻豆约拍 Concert Orchestra feature in the rest of the programme with a newly released CD of Spanish music, and the wind players from the orchestra play Holst's Japanese Suite. Holst spent much of his life teaching and composing because neuritis curtailed his ambition of being a concert pianist.
