Proms in the Park Wales

Proms in the Park comes to Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay this year in a first for north Wales. The annual celebration of music will be led by the Â鶹ԼÅÄ National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales and the special guests include one of pop music’s best-known vocalists, Tony Hadley, who made his name as the lead singer of Spandau Ballet before becoming a solo artist in his own right.
Also performing: Wales-based Grammy award-winning Amy Wadge, one of the UK’s most prolific contemporary songwriters, whose most notable success to date comes from her long-established writing partnership with Ed Sheeran; tenor, Wynne Evans, is a popular presenter on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio Wales, and is also well-known to his fans as the inimitable spoof opera star on a well-known TV advertising campaign; and completing the line-up is 17-year-old Â鶹ԼÅÄ Young Musician 2016, Sheku Kanneh-Mason (cello).
The concert in Colwyn Bay is being held in collaboration with Conwy County Borough Council - bring your picnics and flags to enjoy an evening of music, fireworks and fun!
