Concert Information
‘Oh you millions, I embrace you – here’s a kiss for all the world!’ Every performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is a special event: from dark opening to the final blazing Hymn to Joy it’s one of the greatest emotional journeys in all music. There’s no more uplifting way to launch the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic’s season which features many of the Beethoven’s greatest works. The programme begins with the headlong energy and rapier wit of Beethoven’s brilliant Fourth.
Preview, 6.30pm:
Chief Conductor Juanjo Mena in conversation with Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic General Manager Simon Webb.
NOTICE: Change of soloist
Updated Wed 24 Sep: Unfortunately, due to ill health, Rebecca Evans (Soprano) will not be performing at this concert. Raquel Lojendio will sing in Rebecca’s place.
