Jiří Bělohlávek, magnificent interpreter of music from his native Czech Republic, directs Dvořák’s epic Requiem.

Tonight placing the highly acclaimed Â鶹ԼÅÄ Symphony Chorus centre-stage, Dvořák’s Requiem was first heard in Birmingham in 1891 at the composer’s creative peak, and contains some of the composer’s most powerful as well as most tender music.

Singers at Six:
Come along before the concert to hear the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Singers perform music by Czech and Slavic composers in the Barbican Hall.
