About This Event

Contemplate the endurance and joy of a historic pilgrimage route and experience a brand-new collaboration between composer Joanna Marsh and producer, engineer and Songwriter Glen Scott.

Nearly four years in the making, Joby Talbot’s Path of Miracles is fast becoming a twenty-first century choral classic. Inspired by the indelible impression left on the composer by the sights of the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, the work is a choral dramatization of the famous pilgrimage route, setting poetry and religious texts in seven languages. Talbot’s tightly bound voices journey through physical hardship, mental endurance and spiritual resolve, finally arriving at a point of jubilance as the pilgrims glimpse the end of their path.

The Â鶹ԼÅÄ Singers and Chief Conductor Sofi Jeannin invite you to experience the world premiere of a collaboration between composer Joanna Marsh, music producer, engineer and song-writer Glen Scott and lyricist Fiona Lindsay. Scored for choir with live electronic manipulation, SEEN reveals the lost female voices within classical drama and the reinterpretation through time of the stories of these women.
