About This Event

Tonight鈥檚 all-Czech programme opens with a Hussite war song, whose melody reappears in Dvor谩k鈥檚 Hussite Overture (depicting the struggles of Czech Reformation pioneer Jan Hus), Smetana鈥檚 symphonic poems from M谩 vlast and Martin暖鈥檚 elegiac Field Mass, composed as a prayer for his homeland after the German invasion in 1939.
