FREE

20 years since the death of Ted Hughes, we are still arguing about his legacy. In a new series of the Radio 3 Essay, poets Sean O’Brien and Helen Mort bring a sharp eye to the poems themselves, reminding us why Hughes is regarded as one of the Twentieth Century's greatest writers, and exploring how the works match up to, inform and contradict what we know of the man.

The studio recording will be followed by an audience Q and A session.

(Part 1 is recorded Saturday 1900-1200 at The Horncastle Building, Charlotte Street, Hull HU1 3DG)
