Information

Unleash your creative skills in this free pre-concert workshop for all ages.

Work with the musicians of the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic to create artwork which will be turned into music and performed by the players!

The workshop will take inspiration from Anna Clyne’s Night Ferry, which features in the evening's concert, and from the method she used of creating a graphic score to compose her turbulent work about the sea.

The evening's concert also features Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending, and Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique.

PLEASE NOTE

This pre-concert session will be filmed. If you do not wish to be filmed, please make yourself known to the event organisers before the session begins. They will be wearing Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic t-shirts and/or Â鶹ԼÅÄ ID lanyards.

General information about Journey Through Music:

Journey Through Music concerts feature music that is particularly accessible for children. They include pre-concert events and programme notes written specially for a younger audience.

The pre-concert events are a great opportunity for the entire family to get to know the music. Enjoy demonstrations from Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic players, ask questions and you may even get to make some music yourselves.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Barbirolli Room at 6.15pm. Please be prompt, seats are first come first served. This session is recommended for ages 8 and above although younger children in family groups are welcome.

Free to concert ticket holders - you do not need an additional ticket.
