Concert information

Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 3 New Generation Artist Leonard Elschenbroich is soloist in the melodic and rarely performed Second Cello Concerto by Nino Rota, best known for the film score he wrote for The Godfather - ‘surely an offer you can’t refuse’! Making his Â鶹ԼÅÄ SSO debut, Latvian-born Ainars Rubikis opens the new season with one of Grieg’s earliest orchestral works, In Autumn. Arguably Sibelius’s most popular Symphony, and its famed horn calls, brings the evening to a triumphant close.

Part of the 28th Ayr Concert Series promoted by Ayr Arts Guild.

To be recorded for future broadcast on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 3.
