The Â鶹ԼÅÄ Proms Inspire scheme is for budding composers aged 12 to 18 who want to write their own music. The scheme provides you with a friendly environment to share ideas, participate in workshops, meet other young composers and develop your musical creativity.
Join composer Michael Price to explore writing music for film and TV. At this session you’ll have the opportunity to find out about Michael’s approach to composing for the Â鶹ԼÅÄ series Sherlock and work with professional musicians and composers to create your own soundtrack to a short scene. You are encouraged to bring an instrument as there will be practical work. Limited pianos and percussion will be available.
All young composers who enter this year’s Inspire Young Composers’ Competition or attend an Inspire Lab will be offered priority booking at this season’s Inspire Sessions in June 2015. This is event is now fully booked.
