About this event

The next generation is the now generation.

Young people are at the heart of this concert, working with the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Concert Orchestra and Southbank Centre to bring together contemporary music, classical and more – nothing is off limits. Leonard Bernstein pieces rub up against Clean Bandit songs, while Shostakovich sits next to Chick Corea arrangements and themes from Star Wars.

Enjoy hip hop dance fused with classical music with ZooNation Youth Company, performances from saxophonist and Â鶹ԼÅÄ Young Musician finalist Jess Gillam and side-by-side performances with Lambeth In Harmony Orchestra and massed youth choirs.

£3 for under-21s.
£6 for ages 21 and over.

Part of Southbank Centre’s festival WHY? What’s Happening for the Young, inspired by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
