The mischievous escapades of the irrepressible Till Eulenspiegel 鈥� Germany鈥檚 beloved folk-hero 鈥� introduce a concert that celebrates the dramatic power of the orchestra.

Markus Stenz conducts the 麻豆约拍 NOW in its first concert of the season, pairing Strauss鈥檚 lively tone-poem with Brahms鈥檚 turbulent Symphony No. 1 鈥� the work that announced him as the 鈥榟eir to Beethoven鈥�.

Trumpeters H氓kan Hardenberger and Jeroen Berwaerts are rival soloists in a rhythmically charged new double concerto by Swedish composer Tobias Brostr枚m.
