ACCESS

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Essex has one parking space reserved for people who need to park close to the building.Μύ It is in the front visitors' car park.Μύ If you need to park in the space, please make it clear to the person who has invited you to the radio station that you will need to use it.

Level access to the two main radio studios for mobility impaired guests is provided via the door to the right of the main reception door, entry is gained via a buzzer intercom system to the right of the door.Μύ There is an accessible toilet on the same floor. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Essex has a hearing induction loop in reception and mini loop devices for use in the radio studios.

Please let us know in advance of any access requirements you have so we can make all the appropriate arrangements.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Essex Reception is open between 0930 and 1700 Monday to Friday.

The main reception is at the front of the building beside the visitors' car park, through a blue door at the top of three steps bordered by a white handrail. There is also a door at ground level to the right of this if you need to avoid steps. (see Access)

There is a buzzer entry system at the right hand side of both outer doors. Please press the grey button and wait for a reply. On hearing a voice, say clearly who you are and which programme you are visiting. Do not press the grey button again. Push the door open when you hear the high-pitched buzzer sound.

On arrival, please tell the receptionist who you are, and which member of staff or programme you are visiting.Μύ You will be asked to sign in and wear a visitors badge. We have a small seating area in reception.Μύ Please wait here until you are collected and taken to the studio.

If you would like to hear your moment of glory on the radio, we can record the interview as it is broadcast. You can bring a cassette tape with you or ask for one from Reception.Μύ We cannot provide cassette copies of our programmes after the item has been broadcast.
