Staffordshire Hoard Appeal

    I wonder if anybody has come up against this problem?
    I and others wish to support the Staffordshire Hoard Appeal and keep it in Stoke on Trent.
    However the appeal web site requires that we join the Artfund at the same time.
    We wish our funds to be directed to this cause alone and do not want the added cost of membership of the Artfund.
    It does not seem possible to donate in this fashion so the appeal may be loosing many potential donors.
    It seems a rather underhand way of trying to get us to join and it is strongly resented.
    I think that the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ should look at this as the Northern / Mercian the appeal is being weakened by interested parties? Martin

    Can't see anywhere where it says you have to join Artfund though?
