Just wondering how, if you are doing a project on Egypt you're referencing Babylonian/Sumerian deities??

Why are you also seemingly only referencing blogs?

Why should the theme not be suitable to miners? I mean the Working Mens Institutes were created to ensure that they had access to libraries so they should be able to keep up with any debate you wish to start on this subject.

Speaking of which, what exactly are you looking to discuss on the children of Anu and Ki?

It would be difficult to discuss the Annunaki without dealing with their progenitors. Their origins, functions etc. are fully set out in the Enumma Elish, but as has been pointed out already, they belong to the pantheon of the Sumerian / Assyrian / Babylonian traditions rather than Egyptian. As well try to discuss the Roman gods in the light of Christian tradition as the Annunaki in the Egyptian, surely?

What's your question by the way? I don't see an obvious historical point to anything you've written.

    SNR,

With respect to you Richie, i personally am not able to agree with you that these deity's are exclusive to the regions that you mention
    Μύ

No problem there, but I would expect some sort of evidence from you as to their worship in Egypt

    Any views on these deities and Moses would be appreciated.{ especially those of the 3 dimensional evidential kind}
    Μύ

here you lose me, 3D evidence??

No,you won't see any point mate, that is not your fault.

I do see your point, mate. It's you who's missing the point - this is a history site. Now, ask a question to do with history.

Are you inerested, for example, in how Mesopotamian religion infiltrated and informed Judaism? Or do you really care?

    Hi,

I'm really not sure where this is going in terms of historical discussion.

I think also if you're wanting to discuss subjects that, as you seem to imply, include themes unsuitable for these boards then perhaps this isn't the place for your thread. The fact that you'd rather not name those themes and offer a warning about surfing them is ringing alarm bells.

Unless you can construct an historical discussion that keeps within the letter and the spirit of the House Rules I suggest that these boards are not the place for this topic.

    Many thanks

    Andrew

    Andrew,

The 'Annunaki' conspiracy theory is currently all over the net, and any sensible person will confirm that it's all complete nonsense. It's all based on the 'work' of Zecharia Sitchin, a pseudo-historian with many followers, most of whom belong to the white supremacist, anti-semitic, or David Icke lobbies.

I started a thread about these conspiracies on the RE boards a few days ago in an attempt to debunk this and other conspiracy fantasies.

It isn't history, it's 20th century fiction, and nasty fiction at that.

    Hi Delrick53,

Your concerns are noted. I'm looking into this.

    Cheers

    Andrew
