    Hi all,

    Just saw this on wikipedia:-

What do you think? Was Augustus the real father of Nero Claudius Drusus (Drusus the Elder)? This would make him Claudius' paternal grandfather, the double great-grandfather of Caligula, and the double great-great-grandfather of Nero.

Personally I doubt Augustus was Drusus' father. there were no children of the Augustus-Livia marriage, when they were clearly able to produce children by previous spouses. Surely if Augustus suspected his paternity of Drusus he'd have him as his successor, or try to put the succession among Drusus' descendants.

    Regards
