Can anyone recommend Robin Lane Foxs'- 'Pagans and Christians'? I have just finished his classical history of Greece and Rome and found it excellent. The other book ,however, looks a far weightier tome and at around Β£17 I would appreciate the views of anyone who's read it.
I haven't read it myself. It's being offered for Β£11 on Amazon, and there are some reviews there. Why not try the library before shelling out?
Funnily enough, the Library is always an option I overlook. I will certainly head over there tommorow.
