U2011621, actually you are wrong. The correct answer is zero.
There WAS a Roman fort there.
Now there is only the remains of the one fort that used to be there.

The correct answer cannot be 'zero' as the Romans didn't have 'zero'! The Arabs invented it!
'Nullius' or something, then.
Actually we just picked up zero from the Arabs in the same way that we came across many spices and Chess. None started off in Arabia however as they were more the result of Islam's spread Eastwards into India and Idonesia respectively.
Didn't zero come from India originally and was passed to the west via the Arabs?
wow thanks for your replies but to good advice and information there are at least 7 if not more forts. all this is over the 400 years of occupation.

its difficult to imagine not having zero. How does that work. How did they represent 'nothing' figuratively?
