I keep trying this message on different boards in the hope that someone will know the answer. Where in Kent is the most bombed Farm. I heard about it years ago, when the German bombers were returning home they would jetison any remaining bombs before crossing the channel and this farm came in for a lot of bombing. The only other thing I know about the area is that a woodland sits on the ridge above the farm and that there are a number of archaeological sites in this wood. There are pits that were dug out years ago to extract the chalk for spreading on the farm land. I think these may have been called deneholes. There is also I think the remains of an old hill fort there. I hope this will jog a memory.

Sorry haven't got a clue mate. You've come to the wrong board mate. If you wanted to know which farm have the most roman/medival/celtic etc finds/ activity you might get an answer. But good luck in you research. Mind you there are a few towns in kent that could do with a good bombing like...............................

    smiley - erm
