A very old question but one that is still being asked today- "How were they built?"
By hand, by people
FSM all the way!
the stone blocks were cut by hand and transported to the site by boat then they were cut down to size and then rolled to the pyramid site on wooden coasters like wheels then they were put into place by hand cranes ,the whole pyramid was built in line with the stars that the pharoe was going to,there easy when you know how.
Well first of all you have to realise that they are ovewr 10,000 years old and were built by giants from Usra Major who are the real progeniturs of the human race as they created us by messing round with our genes, looking a some perfect slaves.
They used space ships and laserbeams to cut, shape and move the blocks and then placed them in place by telekinesis.
Then we rose up and killed them all, and over the years forgot about them, making them instead our "Gods"
sorry
really really sorry
Just couldn't help myself
Richie,
You forgot to mention the photos of antartica that our erstwhile progenitors handily left lying around the place for us kids to find.

mein got
yes I quite forgot them. So damn usefull and so handily preserved and accurate eh?!
The limestone was quarried cut to shape by stonemasons, transported during the flood to the Plaza complex of the pyramid. The stone was pulled by many labourers, there were many jobs such as wetting the surface of the ground to make transportation easier, people running ahead to place the wooden 'wheels' for the sled to roll over. If the question however is how did the Egyptians make the thing so big and so tall, ramps were the key to this, and pure labour for 20 years. The only thing debated is what the ramps were made of. Wood could not withstand the weight of limestone, rubble would be hard to walk up. Stone would take a while to build up. The most logic would be mudbrick they believe. But again mudbrick wasn't totally strong, so the most possible surely is stone itself., built up in a spiral around the pyramid as it grew, and then once the pyramid was complete to remove the ramp.
