    Having watch the recent Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Egypt series i really want to know wheter it was filmed on location or not?

    Absolutely. Some of the interior shots were done back in Britain but all the Egyptian exteriors were shot right there in Egypt - when they sailed down the Nile it really was the Nile. In some cases the monuments needed to be computer enhanced for period correctness - like being buried in sand, rather than the exposed, rescued and preserved state they're in now - but the director Ferdy Fairfax was very keen to be as accurate as possible. The series is out on DVD in February, so maybe there will be more detail in that.
