    Hi
I am new to this M.B.
The other day I read on an American Web-Site about the Japanesse Consentration camps called UNITS with
numbers attatched i.e (676). There they carried experiments on mostly Chinesse Soldiers and civillians. The barbaric tortures and experiments included cross injections of diesess of animals to humans ,live amunition trials on humans such as firing humans out of artillery.

All these UNITS had a specific purpose.
the General in charge of these camps was never brought to justice and died in the 60's.

Apparantly the Americans have played down this.can anybody throw any more light

SORRY THIS HAS BEEN LONG WINDED smiley - peacedovesmiley - rose

    Welcome to the board.

Actually there was a discussion about the Japanese attrocities during WW2 not so long ago on this board.

However if you go to search engine Google and type in:

    Unit 731 Japanese war crimes,

    or
    Khabarovsk War Crime Trial

    or
    Japanese Attrocities in World War2,

you will find a lot of intersting information.

Come back any time if you want to discuss any of the war crimes.

About 1.2 million Japanese committed war crimes in China during WWII were released to come back to Japan under General McArthur's command.

The experiment data by the 731 unit now is still in the hand of the US government.

The Japanese soldiers mostly at least committed the rapes of the comfort women and mostly kill civilians and prisoners of war.

Few old Japanse soldiers openly expressed their regrets and today Japanese rightest group (with huge number) still explaining their good causes of the killings.

in the 1980's the old ITN did an excellent documentary on unit 731. the book of the documentary is called, remarkably, unit 731 and contains interviews with survivors, japanese jailers and doctors, allied personel and deals witht the issue of the u.s. using the data and some personell of 731 to help their bio programme after the war.
the sections on biop warfare are scary, and it mentions the various attacks against the chinese using plague, cholera, anthrax etc.
