My father served with 1st Bat Royal Sussex which was attached to 4th Indian div.
According to his records he was moved to Inter Services Liason Department in Cairo. After this I am unable to track his movements as all I have are order numbers. I know he was in the Sudan, Cape Town, Egypt, Greece, Italy and the Balkans by the unmarked photos I have. He arrived home May 1945 and was with the Foreign Office until demob in 1946. Is there any way I can find the meanings of these order numbers?
