Found this in the loft today..Its my Grandads, and was his dads. Dated 1914, reprint 1916. Looks original.Any idea how I can find out its value..Its NOT for sale, but my wife wants to know if we need to look after it a bit better than leaving it in the loft
Put this in History Hub by mistake..

As a teenager back in the '70s, I was very interested in WW1 and picked up a copy of this manual, along with quite a few others (Cavalry Training, Field Service Pocket Book, Manual of Field Engineering, etc.). Back then, they were relatively cheap (Β£1 or less). However, that was a time when the WW1 generation was passing and very likely quite a number of these books, which had been kept by their original owners - every officer had to have them - were finding their way into antique shops. They may be a lot scarcer now, 30 years later.
I tried checking on Abe Books - no originals for sale but there are copies of a recent reprint going for anything from Β£8.55 up. Not necessarily an indication of how much an original would be worth, of course.
