Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a picture of a relative with a studio mark of Malta. He was in the Navy between 1919 - 1926. Sidney Irons.
He served aboard the following ships : HMS Danedun (I think that is correct),HMS Canterbury and HMS Cleopatra.
Can anyone help me tie down when any of these ships may have been docked in Malta ?
Thank you

They have removed my post with the links IΒ΄ve set up in my previous post to you.
I would recommend you to google:
- the National War Museum Malta
- the Maritime Museum Malta
take those links provided by "Heritage Malta".
I hope that this post will get through.
thankyou will give them a go
First mentioned ship's name was probably "Dunedin".
A & J Pavia, of Malta, were prominent Naval photographers for much of C20th.
It's proved rather hard to find details of the Dunedin and Canterbury at that time. Not much help but the Dunedin didn't start until October 1919 and was back to NZ and the Pacific in May 1924. One site gave me details of the Canterbury during the war - but only the second world war till she was sunk in 1941. She was around in the first world war.
Cheers, Caro.

There is a summary of the service of HMS Dunedin on the Naval History website and sure the others will be there.
Just search on the ship name
