We have discussed this question in depth during many threads here on these boards and if I have time I can seek them back. BTW: I am nearly sure that you and U32 have taken part together with me in the discussions. I studied the civil wat in depth among others for Darklight, who, as a British soldier from a UN, KFOR or other force was in the former Yugoslavia for a whole time.

I think that you remember my position as more neutral than the "Western" "journalism", which seemed univocally in favour of the Croats, who had in my opinion also a great responsability for the civil war by the same nationalism as the Serbs and other regional "nationalities". They had also responsability for the same atrocities to civilians, although I admitted to Darklight that perhaps the Serbs in "headcount" had the biggest "amount".

Perhaps nearly the most "neutral" commentary that I found on the net:

"Serb paramilitaries committed atrocities against Croats, killing over 200 Croats, and displacing others who fled the town in what became known as the Vukovar massacre.[20] In response to the atrocities in Vukovar, Croats committed a revenge attack on Serbs during Gospić massacre. The atrocities by both sides would continue for many years."

    Kind regards and with esteem,

    Paul.
