•1793: Britain goes to war with France, starting 22 years of conflict that ends with the Battle of Waterloo.Β
--------------------------------------------
Did Britain go to war with France in 1793 or did France declare war on Great Britain? And did the war which began in 1793 last for 22 years?
To be fair Vizzer, the entry does not state that a single war lasted for 22 years, rather that (general) conflict with France lasted for that period of time.
Also, the term 'Goes to war with' does not state that we declared war, merely that we went to war. We did. My dad did not declare war on anyone in 1939, but he certainly went to it.
So, not quite the stab to the heart of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ inaccuracies you might have been hoping for, Vizzer.
