i've been trying to identify a cap badge for a couple of years now. It is on a picture of a relative from WW11, i have asked the war museum with no luck. I suppose it could be from abroad. Anyone any ideas.

I have found the WW2 forum called WW2talk a mine of information about this kind of thing and they will certainly solve your question within a few hours of your post. Their are quite a few veterans that post and help people like me too!
It's a pity that you can't post the image of the badge up here, otherwise I could give it a go
