    Hi,

I am trying to find out where Richard I. Braybrooke 38287 Royal Engineers was during the WWI. He was in France somewhere, but I haven't been able to find his service record.

    Any suggestions please. Rokeby

I can't help, but I was intrigued by your post, as my father was in the RE in WWI (right at the end - straight out of school....luckily the war ended just about as soon as he was posted to France, otherwise I suspect I would not be here to write this post!)

I guess my only suggestion is the Imperial War Museum, Army Museum and the Royal Engineers themselves as presumably they have some kind of history/archives?
There's a link on the RE site about 'researching service records' if that is any help!

    All the best with it!
