    Hi,

I’m hoping any military records experts out there might be able to help. I’ve bought the fmp/Natl Archives army discharge records from 1839 (8th Foot) for a likely ancestor from Ireland. They confirm he would be in receipt of an army pension. While the records are very interesting there are no details of his family or home place at that stage of his life (only birthplace).

Is there any source for records of the ongoing payment of an army pension in those years (ideally available for purchase or viewing online)?

Any other suggestions are more than welcome.
