Help please to find out what happened to a Naval frigate (taken from the French approx 1940?) and given a RN designation of HMS (something, not sure. Wrecked offFalmouth, 93 crew lost. Any help would be great.
No frigates in 1940, in French or British navies.
Best candidate Light Destroyer Branlebas, siezed by the British 3 July 1940, capsized and sank 35 miles of the Eddystone light 14th Dec 1940.
Good luck!
Thanks for the info. A great help.
There were others bombed & lost in Falmouth harbour, but not in 1940.
