i have found out that my father was a pow at PG60 Colle Compito - Luca (Italy). does anybody have any information or know where i can go to get more information
My grandad was a prisoner of the Italians after the Germans caught him in Libya. He ended up in Czechoslvakia as forced labour. Maybe your dad was moved on too, after Italy changed sides.
Hi sueproc
It's Colle Compito - Lucca (with double c).
I'm Italian from Como (the city of the lake, It was considered a British zone during the Italian war of liberation because there was and there is a little British presence on villas along the lake) and I will try to find some web site where you can send your questions. I don't promise you nothing.
This is an Italian book on Colle Compito:
and this is the link of the foundation (it's a foundation of Regione Toscana an Administrative region of italy) that promoted the book
It's what I found in 5 minutes, If I find more I will write you.
Bye
thank you
it is much appreciated
sue
