Today many of post-soviet countries celebrate the Day of Defender which would be connected with.. the win of Reds over Germans ( ??) in Pskov during WWI. In general Russian official historians don't like to talk about the WWI. But for this day they made an exception.Well, let's have a close look-what exactly did happen on the 23ird of February 1918 on the Eastern Front of the WWI ? On the 18th the German troops advanced. Dvinsk and Lutsk were immediately captured without resistance and by the fifth day ( to the 23ird of Feb.) Hoffman's men had advanced 150 miles. It was as much as the whole German army had advanced in the three previous years of fighting !!! Take my congratulations, Russian Warriors, with a such Great Victory ! This day meant, in effect, the German annexation of Ukraine and most of the Baltic. The German final peace terms !

Hoffman's men had advanced 150 miles.Β  It's pretty obvious that the Bolsheviks had collapsed the Russian front by then anyway. There was only Dybenko's gang of deserters and looters that the Bolsheviks relied on to control the ground at the time. Of course, as soon as they got a wind of the token German advance, they boarded a train and ran all the way to Ural, as I recall. But, as Suvorov put it, whenever there is a heroic date to celebrate, one can bet that there is a shame to cover up - or the other way around, if you will.

Well, but Stalin could choose another date to celebrate the Day. Or they all completely lost themselves in the world of their own lies.

    OUNUPA,
LIES? There are never lies nor failures nor mistakes ... just opportunities for propaganda.
    Regards,
