Do you know anyone who flew with the RAF in India/Burma in WW2?

  I am embarking on the research for a book that will look at the history of WW2 in India and Burma but from a RAF perspective. The intention is that it will be historical but interspersed with first hand accounts of the time spent and the action seen during the campaign.
  
  I am looking now to locate RAF veterans who would be willing to tell their story. Does anybody know of the best way to locate veterans either through an alternative route or RAF sources?
  
  Unfortunately my inspiration for this, my Grandpa died earlier this month and now my quest begins with renewed gusto to write the book and dedicate it to him.
  
  Any suggestions, friends, neighbours, colleagues who may be able to help...it will all be very much appreciated!

  Try the Aircrew Association. (Just google that term and it will take you to the address and phone number of the UK secretary).
  
  He will have current lists of ex-RAF pilots who are still alive.
  
  I know one person who flew 'out east' and he still attends reunions. He doesn't 'do' computers, but I'll mention your interest and perhaps the Association can put you in touch?
  
  Another obvious avenue would be via the RAF Museum, Hendon. Their archivists are first-rate and very helpful.
