I need help in finding a good home for a rare engine used in WW2 probably by The Royal Canadian Engineers at the Rhine during the Battle of Arnhem and other engagements at that time.

I found this machine partially dismantled and advertised in the local paper as a 1940's Evinrude, needs attention... Being an enthusiast I bought it and found that the engine's serial number 8008 was specifically designated to Evinrude motors designed to propel 'Storm Boats'; 20' canvas and plywood assault craft for the military.

I found a second non running engine as a donor for the parts required to complete the first one. I rebuilt the ignition circuits, fuel system and all the other moving parts and finally managed to get the engine running sweetly. Probably the fist time since 1944/5. You can see a link to the engine at You Tube, "Evinrude Storm Boat Motor running"

The engine has been in store for three years as I had wanted to find the plans for an original storm boat, build one and unite the engine with the boat and present it to a museum or collector. I can not find these plans anywhere and consequently would like to find someone or an organisation who could take this engine and look after it.

I have loads of history, service manual, spare parts and enthusiasm. The engine is in Kent.

Anyone know someone who might like to get involved?
