The fourth fieldwork season of the Great Arab Revolt Project(GARP)begins tomorrow in Jordan. This is planned as a ten-year project to investigate First World War archaeology in the Jordanian Desert. In contrast to the Western Front, where considerable fieldwork has taken place, First World War remains in Jordan have never been systematically investigated prior to this project.

There will be a daily blog of activities starting later this week at and also from there are links to previous season's work and related sites.

All questions, comments and views welcome, either on here or via the blog.
