In 1911 a 2x Great Uncle of mine was a Private in the 2nd East Lancashire Regiment and they were in the Wellesley Barracks, am I right in thinking that this was in India?

Not wholly ridiculous, fridayschild, given that the Duke of Wellington's elder brother Richard, 1st Marquess Wellesley was Governor General of India, 1798-1805.
