Hello all,
I know this is a long shot and i have very little info but here goes
I have no information on Dad's service history other than stories he told.
I know he finished in the Army Service Corps as he was a petrol specialist.
He was in the Queens Hussars and the SAS, before it was known as the Parachute Regiment.
He was injured in a training drop before the Arnheim Landings. He said he lost most of his friends.
this is what i have been told is there anyway i can check any of this
any clues on where to start looking would be a great help or aprox years
Dad= John William Underwood b1920 Lancashire mancs
Regards Tracy

To give others a fighting chance of identifying your father, do you know which Hussars/ SAS/ Parachute regiments he was in ?
Is he still with you?
What other countries did he serve in?
In what year did he enlist or was called up?
Have you applied for his Army Records?
If you seriously want to know more about your Dad then be prepared for "the long haul"
Good luck
Ron
The hussar regiment could have been either the 4th or the 7th Queen's Own Hussars.
