I was hoping someone on this board may be able to help me track down what regiment my Grandad was part of during WW2. As know one alive in the family seems to know.
He was in a parachute regiment and was awarded the Burma Star, so I know he was based in the far east.
I know the above information is limited but can anyone help with the most likely candidates or were I am likely to obtain this information.
Many Thanks.

Hi,
Perhaps this enquiry should be posted on the family history board were there are many who would be only to pleased to do the research. However you must be able to put up as much detail as you can about your Grandad such as; full name, date and place of birth and where he may have been living when he joined up.
Regards
Spike
I would have thought contacting the Burma Star Association might be a good place to start.
