In search of my grandfather - travels trhough remote Uzbekistan

    I had grown up not knowing what happened to my grandfather. As with many Poles, he was taken away at the start of the war by the Soviet army and never seen again.
    When we learned that he was buried in a Polish military grave in Uzbekistan, I had to go and find his grave, pay my respects and give my father the peace of knowing exactly where his father was laid to rest. Here is my account:
