Amongst my father's WW1 souvenirs is a single sheet of a publication with the above title. It is not dated but is shown as No.4 The wording on the heading is in the form of a shallow arc above a "bunch" of flags which appear to be those of the Allies. The only text is Alfred Tennyson's poem "The Revenge - A Ballard of Fleet".
Does anyone know what this document is?
What service did he serve in? Was he an officer?
I wonder if it could have anything do with the King's Messengers? Their full title was King's Foreign Service Messenger and now seems to be Queen's Diplomatic Service Messenger. Perhaps coincidence.

Thank you JMB for your comment. No, Dad was a Private, an ASC ambulance driver serving in Egypt and Palestine. The page looks as though it could have been the cover or front page of a periodical or one of a series of pamphlets. It has a vaguely religious appearance which could have appealed to my father.
Try asking the RASC Museum and the Royal Army Service Corps & Royal Corps of Transport Association.
I remember seeing a religious magazine (quite small, maybe about 7 inches by 5 inches) called 'The King's Messenger', during or just after WW2. It was maybe from the C of E, or the Society for the Promotion of Christian Knowledge or some such body.
Just my wild guess, but maybe 'The Service Messenger' was a version for the benefit of the troops?
