In the event of a gas attack by the nazis on the civillian population of the UK during WW2, would this have ensured a relatiation attack by Churchill's government?
Did the UK hold gas bombs in stock ready for this possibility?

They certainly did, and had developed anthrax bombs as well.
I'm pretty sure Churchill would have authorised thier use...

The British military tested anthrax on a Western Scottish island called Gruinard in 1942. Anthrax bombs were exploded near to flocks of sheep and the effects monitored (the sheep died in a few days). The island was quarantined for 48 years following the tests.
Yep ive gazed on the said island and thought about it.
