HELP
I am way out of my depth here and would really welcome some help.
I would like to order the birth certificate for my Great Great Grandfather Frederick Young. He was born in 1881 in Chaubuttia, India. His parents were both born in Germany, Philip Young (formerly Jung) and Mary Young (formerly Hoffeld). Philip Young was in the army in India. The family then appear in the 1891 and 1901 census's as British Subjects.
I have been given the following information regarding his birth - (but do not now enough to follow this through)
Frederick Young born Chaubuttia in 1881 dad's regiment was the 40th, volume 1125 page 55
Can anyone tell me where I can find the GRO Regimental Birth Indices - I tried googling, without success. I would like to find the rest of Philip's children.
Many Thanks
Squeaky

I found him, as you said, on the 'Findmypast' site. GRO Birth Indicies; Page 2 of 6. Is this what you wanted to know?
If you ask on a family history message board or forum somewhere then you might find someone who will check the other names for you.
On most message boards systems people can contact you direct so you might get more help than here.
Try ROOTSCHAT, ROOTSWEB or various other sites.

Try the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's own Who Do You Think You Are Forum.
That site seems to be run by the company that makes the programme and / or magazine rather than the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

Then try this:
Th advantage of the message boards that I mentioned is that people can make direct contact, there is a good chance that someone will look up the information for him and send it to him.

The WDYTYA has a PM section also, unlike the normal Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Boards.

I would like to thank everyone for their help.
I have just received my Great Grandfather, Frederick Young's birth certificate.
His father is listed as Philip Young, Bandsman of the 40th Regiment of Foot.
