Now that Castro is retiring, what would be the reason for an economic blockade by the U.S. of A.not that there was any point to begin with-right ????

The U.S. is obviously hoping for a transition to democracy by Cuba so would be reluctant to continue the long standing economic blockade unless absolutely necessary. Personally, I would say Cube has had enough of communism and will probably recapitulate, sooner or later.
