Does anyone know if any of the servicemen who fought in the First World War are still alive? I watched a documentary last year and Alfred Anderson the last of the "Old contemptables" and Harry Patch were two of 5 surviving men in 2005 (there were 27 in 2003).
I cant find news of them anywhere but saw that the last member of the Air Corp had just died.
Also ther was one French man who had fought in the Gernan army who was the last surviving member of the German army.
Does anyone know if they are still alive and is there a way of finding out information about them?
Try that one.
Thank you very much for that it had all the information I was looking for.
Glad I could help.
