    Although this was said in relation to Russia by Dick Cheney do you think its ironic in that America developed the Monroe Doctrine to protect against "foreign" incursion in Central/South America and now they say this?

    "No-one can justify actions that undermine the territorial integrity of a neighbour, or interfere with democratic movements"

    I know its not just America that do things like this, Britain has done it before, most European nations have done so and many Central/South American countries have done so too....

    Maybe he should stop and think before coming out with ridiculous statements such as this - he also said on the same issue...

    "No legitimate interest is served when oil and gas become tools of intimidation or blackmail, either by supply manipulation, or attempts to monopolise transportation,"

    and

    "other actions by the Russian government have been counter-productive, and could begin to affect relations with other countries." Iraq/Iran anybody?

    If diplomacy is used to prevent wars then surely Russia is doing the bright thing - after all if they wanted to they could unleash the Army?
