Hi Guys
what happened to the Motor Torpedo Boats after the War I always thought they were pretty fast craft. Were they scrapped after the hostilities?
Off the top of my head I think some were bought my ex RN, RNR and RNVR personnel as "pleasure" craft. Some were bought and used as smuggling vessels in the Med (due to their speed).
Not sure what happened to them as a "class".
Cheers AA.

I would think much the same as most of the wartime aircraft, vehicles etc. Broken up for scrap.
Some pictures of MLs at this site, the history of HMS St Christopher which was a wartime training base for RN Coastal Forces.

Like much of the military equipment that was surpluss after the war - they were sunk. A great waste.
