Hello All,
The Anzacs was a 6 part television series in the 1980's which was about an Australian regiment in WW1.
I have tried for ages to try to get this on DVD or video but no luck.
Anyone got this or any ideas how to get it?
Thanks.
Was it the one with Paul Hogan?
Or Try HMV in Oz, or even Ebay.

Thats the one,
Trouble is there are different zones for dvds!
Chivers,
Most DVD player are multi region, if yours isn't, it's pretty easy to get to be (There a 'cheats' available on the internet) if you can't do that, it's pretty easy to pick up a multi region. Asda do one for about Β£30 that got four stars in What DVD.

IF you have a B @ M in your area, they have a multi region for under Β£20-00, Of course you could find their on line site.

There's a convention though it's not always observed. ANZACS refers to the men themselves of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (so the dvd is correct.) Anzacs is a descriptive term used when Australia and New Zealand link up eg discussion about an 'Anzac common currency'
The best and most accurate information IMO is in the Australian War Memorial .
Another site that is closely connected with the ANZACS is at Albany in Western Australia, if you ever manage a visit. It's here that the first contingent of 20,000 Australians and 8,000 horses waited on board their troop carriers until the New Zealand ships with 10,000 New Zealanders came to join them. It was the last time many of them saw the Antipodes
The Australian War Memorial in Canberra is really good, with an excellent museum which I visited last year on ANZAC Day. As a Pom I found the Aussie attitude to this day very eye-opening and enlightening; I got the impression that it is taken more seriously by all areas of society than Remembrance Day is in the UK.
Sorry, local discount stores up here in Southport/ St Annes. I believe they have other stores round the north. Buy cheap sell quick. We bought a DVD player from them last year for under Β£20-00. I noticed they had them back in the store the other week. I will try and find the website as we are goingb there now. (Cat food) The cat will insist on eating.
The e address for B&M is enquires@barginmadness.com. Hope that is of use.
